Team Insights: Interview mit Krystian
Getting to Know You
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you do besides your job at jaraco GmbH?
I’m Krystian, and I’ve been working with Jaraco GmbH since June 2024. Outside of work, I’m a tech enthusiast and also studying cybersecurity, which helps me combine theory with real-world problem-solving. I enjoy exploring new frameworks, automation tools, and anything related to software engineering. When I’m not coding, I like spending time outdoors or experimenting with side projects, and I fly with FPV drones.
- How did you first hear about jaraco GmbH?
I first got in touch through a local newspaper, though it’s hard to say if I found them or they found me. What started as curiosity about an interesting local company quickly turned into a great match.
Motivation & First Impressions
- What made you decide to join jaraco GmbH?
I decided to join jaraco because the position sounded genuinely exciting and full of potential. The projects were hands-on, technically challenging, and offered plenty of room to learn and grow.
- How was your first week — exciting, confusing, or smooth?
My first week was intense but motivating. I spent most of my time learning to get up to speed with the tools and workflows. It was a lot to absorb, but I enjoyed the challenge and wanted to deliver results as soon as possible.
Work & Learning
- What kind of tasks or projects are you currently working on?
Right now, I’m mainly working on proof-of-concept projects and technical experiments that often lead to practical solutions. These projects cover a wide range of topics, from automation to AI and new integrations.
I enjoy the creative side of problem-solving the most, taking an abstract idea and turning it into something that actually works.
- Have you learned something new or unexpected since you started?
Since joining, I’ve learned a lot about automation, system design, and managing different technologies within one environment.
- What has surprised you most about working here?
What surprised me most is the trust and independence I was given from day one. That level of freedom makes work much more engaging and rewarding.
Team & Culture
- Even though you work remotely — do you still feel connected to the team? How?
Even though I work remotely, I still feel connected to the team. Communication is open and straightforward, and I always know what’s happening across projects.
- What do you appreciate about working directly with the founders?
Working directly with the founders gives a great sense of collaboration and clarity in decision-making.
- What’s it like working in a small company compared to what you expected?
Being part of a small company is exactly what I was hoping for, it’s dynamic, everyone contributes, and you immediately see the results of your work.
Balancing Work & Life
- How do you organize your time between your job and other things in your life?
My work schedule is extremely flexible. I can focus for several hours straight or split my day into shorter sessions, depending on what works best that day.
- Do you have any tips for others who work part-time or remotely?
For others who work remotely: to stay consistent, but don’t overthink it. Focus on clear priorities rather than tracking every minute.
- How flexible is your work schedule?
This flexibility allows me to balance work, studies, and personal life effectively, which keeps me both productive and motivated.
Growth & Future
- What have you learned from your time here so far?
So far, I’ve learned a lot about combining creativity with technical precision. Jaraco gave me the chance to explore different areas of development and see how ideas evolve into working solutions. Working here also made me appreciate smaller, agile teams where initiative really matters.
- Has working here changed how you think about your future career?
I definitely see myself continuing in software development or related fields that combine automation, research, and practical implementation.
Personal Touch
- What’s been your favorite moment at work so far?
My favorite moment so far was finishing my first working proof of concept after several iterations – that moment of “it finally works” never gets old.
- If you had to describe your job here to a friend, what would you say?
I’d say it’s a mix of experimentation, learning, and turning ideas into something real.
- Three words that describe your workday at jaraco GmbH?
curious, independent, rewarding
